Cultural Plan and Strategy for the Banská Bystrica Self-Governing Region
Our main task was the comprehensive preparation and development of a cultural plan and strategy for the Banská Bystrica Self-Governing Region. We will create a comprehensive strategic document for the medium term that defines steps for the development of culture in the region. The project involves a wide range of people to ensure that the strategy is based on the real needs of stakeholders and that culture ties in with other sectors in the region, particularly tourism and education.
- We are overseeing the entire process, which is planned to unfold in two key phases over a total duration of 12 to 18 months
- We conducted an in-depth diagnostic analysis—we designed and facilitated a large Open Space workshop with a capacity of approximately 100 participants, which allowed us to identify key themes across the entire sector; we conducted a series of semi-structured diagnostic interviews with selected stakeholders; we conducted a comprehensive questionnaire survey of a broad spectrum of cultural workers
- for the purposes of the survey, we compiled examples of best practices from the cultural sector abroad
- we helped secure funding for the implementation of the Cultural Plan by selecting an appropriate grant call
- We will prepare a detailed final report on the current state of the cultural sector in the BBSK
