“Free National Gallery” Exhibition
We curated and produced an exhibition that served as a reflection on non-professional political interference in Slovak cultural institutions. The main idea was to document and present to an international audience the period following the dismissal of the then-director general and the subsequent chaotic turnover in management. The exhibition documented the gallery staff’s encounter with amateurism and highlighted their creativity, solidarity, and various forms of artistic resistance.
Our work:
- we oversaw the entire preparation of the exhibition for our international partner—GHMP
- we designed a strong visual concept for the project
- we created a comprehensive, immersive exhibition environment
- we organized an accompanying program in the form of guided tours for the public
